About the Seminar

The National Seminar 2026, sponsored by AICTE-VAANI, aims to promote regional languages in technical education and to bring together academicians, researchers, industry experts, policymakers, and students to engage in critical discussions on pressing global challenges. The seminar will discuss management strategies related to energy transition, sustainability and climate resilience for a greener economy — spanning financial management, HR, marketing, operations management, emerging technologies, and policy frameworks.

AICTE – VAANI

The AICTE-VAANI scheme, also known as Vibrant Advocacy for Advancement and Nurturing of Indian Languages (VAANI), is an initiative by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) to promote the use of Indian languages in technical education.

About the University

India's internationally renowned The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda (1949) has blossomed from the Baroda College (1881), one of the oldest centres of learning in western India. It is the only state university with a residential, unitary character having English as the sole medium of instruction, with over 1200 well-qualified faculty members, 8.7 lakh books and periodicals, and more than 50,000 students. Spread across 275 acres, it comprises 14 Faculties, 90 departments and 3 constituent colleges, and has taken significant strides toward implementing the National Education Policy, 2020.

About the Faculty

Maganbhai Shankarbhai Patel Institute of Management Studies, popularly known as FMS-Baroda, was established in 1984 under the aegis of The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda. Approved by AICTE, the institute offers a full-time MBA program, a doctoral program, and a three-year Executive MBA program. Teaching and learning at FMS-B are collaborative, rewarding students with a higher level of knowledge, deeper insights and better understanding.

Objectives

  • Create awareness and facilitate knowledge exchange among stakeholders on energy, sustainability and climate change and their various managerial aspects.
  • Develop a Bilingual Technical Glossary (Gujarati – English) of terms related to Energy and Sustainability to help future students and local entrepreneurs.
  • Appraise alignment of the objectives of Unnat Bharat Abhiyan to attain Net-Zero 2070 goals, specifically by including HEIs and students.
  • Assess business strategies that align with India's Viksit Bharat @2047 vision and the Net-Zero 2070 goals, specifically for Gujarat's industrial landscape.
  • Provide a multidisciplinary platform to discuss the intersection of ESG frameworks, the human side of sustainability, consumer behaviour shifts, and the role of Industry 4.0 technologies.
  • Explore applications of traditional Indian methods / IKS and how these add value in the management of energy, sustainability and climate change.
